Meet the bitHumans

Collect unique real life humans digitized by the Canadian artist Juan Of These (@juanofthese) and stored on the Ethereum blockchain.

Why?

The bitHuman project was created to add organic assets to the blockchain, to preserve individual humans living among all of us in a decentralized ledger. As you can imagine every single bitHuman is unique and can be owned by a single person on the Ethereum blockchain.

This project is also an experiment in Blockchain art collaboration, which means buyers can dictate what kind of new bitHumans will be added to the collection. See below for more info.

What is a bitHuman?

Every bitHuman is individually photographed by Juan Of These and then manually converted into a digital artwork using a variety of different techniques. Every real human is asked to make a series of expressions of their own choosing. All humans are photographed without any clothes from the chest up.

The human and the artist agree to a fee paid from the initial sale of their bitHuman.

How are bitHumans generated?

There are three main ways bitHumans can be generated:

  1. Every year there will be four NFT drops containing at least two new bitHumans. These bitHumans are randomly selected by Juan Of These.

  2. Every primary market buyer will have the option to submit a new bithuman spec to Juan Of These which will generate one new bitHuman. This new bitHuman will be added to the next drop.

  3. Every secondary market buyer will need to have two bitHumans in their wallet before they can submit a new bitHuman spec which will in turn generate one new bitHuman.

Can anybody be a bitHuman?

No, here are the basic rules governing who can be a bitHuman:

  1. No bitHuman will ever be added to the collection without their full legal consent.

  2. No bitHuman will be EVER be under the age of 21.

  3. No bitHuman will be EVER have a mental disability rendering incapable of making their own decisions.
